G.O.G. Mission Statement
The Garden of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church is a community of faith with a Mission and Ministry committed to the witness of God through Jesus Christ and will to serve God's people through worship, evangelism, Christian Education & Outreach.
The Garden recognizes the needs of the congregation and community. Through it's resources and potential; it hearby sets as it's major task of helping children, youth and adults grow in their faith, grow in their understanding of God's word, grow in christian discipleship and stewardship.

Church Bio
Garden of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church was organized in 1968 by the late Reverend Donald G. Burg, Sr. He remained pastor for two years after which, Reverend Richard E. Daniels took over in September 1971. Pastor Richard E. Daniels pastored this church for 37 years, expanding the building to accommodate more members, implementing new programs and adding to the flock as the Lord saw fit. In 2008, he made the monumental decision to retire. He is now Pastor Emeritus of the Garden of Gethsemane. We chose a new pastor by majority vote within the membership family in 2008. Reverend Robert E. Daniels, Sr., the son of Pastor Emeritus Richard E. Daniels, was called on to take this church to higher heights.
Since taking over as new pastor, the church has grown at a tremendous rate. He has implemented new programs to strengthen an already thriving church, dealing with a younger generation of members, and bringing to the forefront innovative ideas to fit the needs and desires of his flock. We are rapidly approaching our “Possess The Land” Project Phase, to be kicked off in 2012, which will enhance our Educational facilities and office space. This is the vision given to the pastor for our church to continue it’s spiritual and physical growth in the name of the Lord. We thank the Lord for His bounty, and for His continued blessings. Our framework for worship is based on the 18 Articles of Faith. Our mission statement is: “We are a church that promotes leadership training, while disciplining the church to impact the community. Our goal is to glorify God and to do His will through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are to be a witness to the Trinity of God, to the surrounding communities, and the world. Our vision must be visible, legible, transferable and sustainable. We are “A church with Purpose, Power, Passion and Praise.”
