Dr. Robert E. Daniels, Sr.

      A man truly after God’s own heart.  Pastor Daniels has weathered the storms of many situations in his life.  Statistic says that after the trying times of a Pastor’s life, many give up and decide not to Pastor or preach again.  This is not so with Pastor Daniels.  It just drives him to do more for God.  Pastor Daniels is the second son and the fourth child of Rev. and Mrs. Richard E. Daniels.  Being a P.K. (preacher’s kid), Pastor Daniels had somewhat of an idea of ‘church folk’, but that did not deter him from wanting to serve God’s people.

      Pastor Daniels graduated from Willowridge High School in 1982.  He also announced his calling into the ministry in the same year.  He preached his first sermon in October 1982, and received his license.
He attended Bishop College, Union Baptist Seminary and Central Bible College.  Pastor Daniels has received his Associate Degree in Theology and his Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies from Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College and his Master Degree in Counseling. He then went all the way and received his doctorate.

      Pastor Daniels worked diligently with many ministries here at “The Garden.” In December 1992, Pastor Daniels was called to pastor Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Rosenberg, TX.  Under his leadership, Pastor Daniels made several accomplishments.  A new roof, steel doors, music instruments, new carpet, implementation of evening Communion, Vacation Bible School, Bible Study, and Sunday School were among the accomplishments.  Pastor Daniels also had a television and radio broadcast ministry.

      Pastor Daniels was called to Bethany Baptist Church in Oakland, CA in the year of 2000.  After pastoring Bethany for 3 years, Pastor Daniels was faced with the dilemma of remaining in California or returning home to Texas.  God had other plans.  After much prayer and consecration, God led Pastor Daniels to join in with Temple of Peace Missionary Baptist Church of Oakland, CA and lead that congregation for 4 ½ years.

     On March 9, 2008, Pastor Robert E. Daniels was called to be the third Pastor of the Garden of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church.  The Garden has always been home and now I thank God for the opportunity to serve “My Home” as they have been a Blessing to me.  The Lord has blessed Pastor Daniels to implement new Ministries at The Garden……..The “Men of Standard,” “Women of Destiny,” and also the “Community Outreach Ministry,” and he has also instituted a Community Food Give-Away, occurring every third Tuesday of the month. In May of 2013 Pastor Robert received his doctorate in divinity.

     Pastor Daniels has been married to Pamela K. Daniels for 26 years and has four children: Krystal 31, Brittanae 29, Bryanna  17, and Robert Jr. 15 and 2 grand-children Bralyn & JaNya
